Code of Conduct

We are committed to creating a friendly, safe, and inclusive environment at our conference so that everyone can have an enjoyable and fulfilling experience. Accordingly, all attendees are expected to show respect and courtesy to each other throughout the conference. This code of conduct sets expectations for participant behaviour during the conference, and outlines how to report an incident of discrimination, bullying or harassment.

All participants are expected to:

  • Be considerate, inclusive, respectful and collaborative
  • Alert staff if you notice someone in distress or witness unacceptable behaviour

Under no circumstances do we condone the following behavior: Racism, Homophobia, Transphobia, Sexism, Ableism or any intimidation, harassment, bullying, discrimination, derogatory or demeaning conduct related to age, gender or gender non-conformity, language, political or other opinion, national or social origin, physical appearance, religion or other status.

Any activity that encompasses the types of behavior listed above will result in a warning and may result in you being barred from the conference.

If you are being subject to or notice that someone else is being subject to unacceptable behaviour, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of the conference team. You can do this via email (shuprssconference@gmail.com) or, in sessions, directly message the session chair or host (their names will be displayed at the start of each session and the chair will be active in the chat).
